Hari Raya Open House At Seri Perdana

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and his Cabinet ministers, has invited all Malaysians from different walks of life to his open house on the first day of Aidilfitri at the prime minister’s official residence, Seri Perdana, here from 11.30am to 5pm.

The first day of Hari Raya Aidilfitri is expected to be on 10th September 2010.

Everyone especially all Malaysians, are welcome to Prime Minister’s Raya open house!

Every year, the open house will get a good response as people from all walks of life take the chance to meet Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and his Cabinet ministers, face by face.

You may get a chance to shake hand and greet Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak , if you are lucky.

Thousands of people thronged the Aidilfitri open house hosted by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and cabinet members, at Seri Perdana on Friday.

On that day, finding a car park maybe a big issue.

Therefore it better to take a public transport. A free  bus service  are provide  to those who attend the open house by Nadi Putra.

There are over sixteen buses which would provide the service from 10.30am to 6pm from four park-and-ride locations here, namely in front of Sekolah Menengah Alam Shah, Masjid Putra, Masjid Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin and Putrajaya Sentral.

If Aidilfitri falls on Friday, the prime minister and Muslim Cabinet ministers would leave the open house for an hour from 1pm to attend Friday prayers.

A bus service is also provided for Muslim members of the public attending the open house to join the Friday prayers.

On the second day of Aidilfitri, Najib, who is the Member of Parliament for Pekan, will hold open house in Pekan, Pahang, from 10am to 2pm.

  1. PM’s and ministers’ open house at Seri Perdana

    PUTRAJAYA: Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and his Cabinet Ministers will host the Hari Raya open house at the Prime Minister’s official residence at Seri Perdana here.

    A statement from the Prime Minister’s Office said Najib and the ministers would host the open house on the first day of Hari Raya from 11.30am to 5pm.

    If Hari Raya falls on Friday, the Prime Minister and Muslim ministers will leave the venue from 1pm to 2pm to perform Friday prayers at Putra Mosque.

    To ensure smooth traffic flow, the public are advised to use the special transport services that will be provided by 16 Nadi Putra buses from 10.30am to 6pm.

    The buses will transport passengers between Seri Perdana and the Park and Ride stations at SM Alam Shah, Putra Mosque, Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin Mosque and the Putrajaya ERL Station.

    Parking facilities will be provided for the public so they can leave their cars and take the buses to Seri Perdana and the Putra Mosque.

    The statement added that the Prime Minister would also host a Hari Raya open house for his constituents at Dataran Pekan in Pahang from 10am and 2pm on Sept 18.

    IPOH: Folks in Perak are invited to Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir’s open house on the first day of Hari Raya at his official residence at Jalan Raja di-Hilir.

    Dr Zambry said the open house would be from 3pm to 6pm and that the state government’s open house would be at Dataran Ipoh on Sept 16 from 3pm to 6.30pm.

    The state-level open house is being held in conjunction with the Malaysia Day celebrations,” he said.

  3. Hari Raya Aidilfitri falls on Friday

    KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): Muslims in Malaysia will celebrate Aidilfitri on Friday, said Keeper of the Rulers’ Seal Engku Tan Sri Ibrahim Engku Ngah.

    The announcement was broadcast by RTM.

    “In adherence to the command of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong and the consent of the rulers, I hereby declare that the date for Hari Raya Puasa (Aidilfitri) has been set for Friday, 10 Sept 2010,” he said.

  4. Thousands attend Najib’s open house

    PUTRAJAYA: Thousands of people thronged the Aidilfitri open house hosted by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and cabinet members, here Friday.

    Among the earliest guests to wish him Selamat Hari Raya were former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and wife Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Mohd Ali as well as former Deputy Prime Minister Tun Musa Hitam.

    Foreign diplomats and their family members, deputy ministers, Barisan Nasional component leaders and opposition party leaders were also among the guests at the open house.

    The prime minister, wearing a baju Melayu, and wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, wearing a modern baju hurung, greeted the guests and shook hands with them.

    The open house, which was to start at 11.30am, started much earlier as there was already a huge crowd of people, including foreign tourists, arriving at Seri Perdana, the prime minister’s official residence.

  5. Foreigners experience Malaysian open house

    PUTRAJAYA: The Hari Raya open house at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Seri Perdana here managed to attract many foreigners.

    Australians Angela Tracey, 34, and Lil Benfield, 64, likened it to Christ­mas back home.

    “It is like Christmas when families and friends get together except it is merrier here as people of different races and religions are present,” said Benfield.

    Twenty-year-old Florian Kramer from Dusseldorf, Germany, said the open house was a reflection of Malaysia’s multi-cultural society.

    “Nowhere else have I seen this many people dressed up nicely just to see their leader,” he said.

    For Iranian Mehdi Mousavian, 40, attending the open house was a family affair.

    “It’s very different in Iran. We cannot simply walk into our leader’s house and shake his hand,” said the businessman who brought his six family members along.

    Isa Ma, a Chinese Muslim from China, invited his three students to accompany him to the open house.

    “We were delighted to be able to shake hands and meet the Prime Minister,” said Ma, 45, who lectures at Universiti Malaya. All four said that they liked eating roti bom.

    Kenyan Paul Mogeni, who came with six foreign friends, said the open house concept was a brilliant idea.

    PEKAN: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and his wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor will hold an Aidilfitri open house at Dataran Pekan from 10am to 2pm tomorrow.

  7. Carry on ‘open house’ tradition to foster unity: Najib

    PEKAN: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak Saturday hosted an Aidilfitri “open house” in his Pekan constituency, and called on Malaysians to carry on the open house tradition to forge greater understanding, harmony and mutual respect in the multi-ethnic population.

    “If we hold open house and receive guests regardless of race and religion, it will be a meaningful avenue to foster national unity founded on the 1Malaysia concept,” he said at the event, held at Dataran Pekan here.

    The prime minister said an open house would be more meaningful if “we also open our hearts to our guests”.

    Najib, who is also Umno president, reminded Umno leaders to remain humble and treat the people well when they came to them in both good times and bad.

    “If we are on the right track and uphold the 1Malaysia concept, I believe the people will surely extend their support to us, especially at the time when we need it,” he said.

    Najib and his wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, played host to more than 50,000 people who thronged the open house from 10am to extend Aidilfitri greetings and partake in the food served at almost 100 stalls.

    The Sultan of Pahang, Sultan Ahmad Shah; the Sultanah of Pahang, Sultanah Kalsom, and the Tengku Mahkota of Pahang, Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah, attended the open house.

    Also present were Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, Pekan Umno Division deputy head Datuk Ishak Muhamad and heads of government departments.

  9. Thousands at DPM’s open house

    PUTRAJAYA: More than 10,000 people from all walks of life attended the Hari Raya open house hosted by Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and Puan Sri Noorainee Abdul Rahman at his official residence Sri Satria here yesterday.

    Although the open house was scheduled to begin at 11am, some came earlier to beat the crowd.

    Among those who attended were Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil, Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Dr Mashitah Ibrahim, Hulu Selangor MP P. Kalamanathan and former MIC deputy president Datuk Seri S. Subramaniam.

    Guests were served lemang, ketupat and rendang as well as Malaysians’ favourite dishes of satay, char kuey teow, tandoori, cendol and ais kacang.

    The Deputy Prime Minister and his wife entertained their guests all day and also obliged to requests for photographs to be taken with the public.
