I have survey few banks (EON Bank, MayBank and CIMB Bank) to get the best deal in term of saving in transaction cost in clearing the check.

Finally, I decide to bank in to EON Bank

It take about One month to get the check cleared!

Check cleared = 3rd July 2009

Check Amount(CA) = $130.61

Minus:

Cost of wire(CW) = $5.00

Service Charge(SC) = RM10.00

Postage Charges(PC) = RM2.15

*** Exchange Rate(ER)= RM3.50

Amount Received = (CA – CW) X ER – [ (SC + PC) ]

                            = (130.61 – 5.00) X 3.50 – [ 2.15 + 10.00]

                             = RM427.36 😀

My advice for Receiving Adsense Payment:

Use the Western Union option to Save Cost  instead of using Check.

** All Foreigner Check must be bank-in into your Home Branch (Branch that You Open an Account)

    I agreed with you! It takes Malaysian Bank 4-5 weeks to clear Clickbank check. Let alone commision being deducted from the check amount.
    With Western Union included an addtional option for Clickbank payment, i am sure all of us would benefit.

    but to received your sales commission using PayPal, that U need to confirm with ClickBank 😀

    I’ve received my first cheque from CJ last week and had eagerly deposit it at CIMB.

    Just want to know, how about Citibank?

    There’s no mention about Citibank in any forums/blogs (lowyat, webmasterworld, liewcf, yours).

    Since it’s a US bank, shouldn’t it have better/faster facilities & capabilities to speed up overseas cheque clearance? One of my friends said Citibank just take 21 days + RM13 charge.

    But I need clarifications from experts like you. Is it true what my friend had said?

    I never use Citibank before because number of branches are very limited.

    Why don’t you bank-in using Citibank and feedback your experience here later? 😀

  12. The cheapest bank charge for clearing foregn check was Bank Muamalat. It just charge me only RM5 what ever amount my check was.

    Then CIMB, it’s about RM12.5 then RHBBank RM15.15 for any check.

  15. i use public bank to collect my check. will it has the same convenient way to collect from clickbank as western union?

  18. Let me recall the options for 3 common payment withdrawal from Malaysian banks:-

    Clickbank : Issued cheque, it takes 3-4 weeks for clearance. Another good option is to opt for DIRECT DEPOSIT. However, Malaysian bank is not qualifies but Singapore Bank. You can open an account with a Singapore bank and opt for cross-country ATM withdrawal ( not sure any fee or not )

    Paypal : Can withdraw via public and AM bank ( maybe more bank now) ATM machine with their charge card without a fee and credit card with any bank a fee

    Adsense : Cheque or cash withdrawal via Western Union in many Malaysia bank ( include post office ) over the counter

    Any other option ???

  21. Clickbank will send a check to you automatically. Just bank-in to maybank account then

  22. i want to ask what is the process involved in clearing the clickbank check?is the check will be sent to the original bank(WELLS FARGO BANK) for clearance and why it does takes 2-5 weeks for clearance or in some cases more than 2 months like i have experienced?and why is commissions being charged for the amount?what does this commissions mean to this checks?please explain.
